We are moving to a 36” saber which is easier for high school and middle school students. The weapons chosen will be lighter to spin, allowing the members to focus on their technique.
The saber has a steep price tag BUT it also has a lifetime warranty. Our previous sabres would break on pavement and the student had to buy another saber or at least replacement parts - not the case with King's. If it breaks, it will be replaced for free (you may have to cover shipping of the replacement). King is one of the most trusted brands in the activity and is widely used by most every guard. They started as a saber company and while they have good rifles, the sabers don’t compare! Excalibur sabers are heavier, have a thicker blade, and a hilt design that can be painful. All saber technique was developed for King sabers and has been applied to various other sabers. I’ve had the same King saber since 2007 and it doesn’t even rattle on the catch
